When the Ford Maverick debuted in 2021, it quickly captured the hearts of Americans, filling a niche many didn't realize they needed. Now, Ford is making its smallest truck even smarter, enhancing the capability, spaciousness, and versatility that made the Maverick a standout success. And it still holds the title of the most affordable pickup in America.
For 2025, Maverick Hybrid customers can now opt for an all-wheel drive model, tackling tough terrain and weather conditions with ease. This model also offers an available package that doubles its towing capacity. New tech upgrades, including wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ on a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen, make staying connected easier, while towing becomes stress-free with advanced towing technologies debuting early in 2025.
These updates are in response to loyal Maverick owners, who have made it one of the most popular vehicles in the midsize truck segment. It's not just truck enthusiasts choosing the Maverick — 60% of buyers are trading in vehicles from other brands, including small cars and SUVs, drawn to its versatility and "Built Ford Tough" capability.
Features like the FLEXBED storage system and Ford Integrated Tether System (FITS), which allows for custom 3D-printed accessories, are part of what makes the Maverick so practical and adaptable. And with the hybrid model, drivers don’t have to sacrifice efficiency for utility, boasting a targeted EPA-estimated 42 MPG in the city with the front-wheel-drive version and 40 MPG with the new all-wheel-drive option.
Built Ford Tough: Enhanced Capability and Versatility
The top update for 2025 — and the most requested by owners — is the addition of the hybrid all-wheel-drive model, available in XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. This new configuration provides greater traction across various conditions and can tow small campers, personal watercraft, and trailers with the 4K Tow Package.
With a maximum payload of 1,500 pounds, the Maverick’s FLEXBED system makes it easy to organize cargo. Pockets in the bed allow for customized dividers, and the multi-position tailgate supports long items like lumber or a bike. The bed is even large enough to hold 18 sheets of 4x8 plywood.
Power tools and accessories are easily powered via a 110V/400W outlet in the bed (and an additional one in the cab), and DIY enthusiasts can take advantage of pre-wired 12V connections for extra customization.
Smarter Tech, Less Clutter
For 2025, Maverick is equipped with SYNC® 4, presented on a 13.2-inch display—the largest in its class. Paired with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, drivers enjoy wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Enhanced Voice Recognition, and a 5G modem for seamless software updates.
Maneuvering in tight spaces is simpler than ever with the new 360-Degree Camera, offering front, rear, and cross-traffic views. For those towing trailers, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist uses the rear camera and radar to align the hitch and trailer automatically, while Pro Trailer Backup Assist allows easy trailer maneuvering by turning a knob.
Safety and Peace of Mind
Every 2025 Maverick includes Ford Co-Pilot360™ technology, featuring Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Aid, a Rear View Camera, and Auto LED High-Beam Headlamps. Lariat and Tremor trims add Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition for an even easier driving experience.
A Fresh New Look
The 2025 Maverick features refreshed exterior styling, with redesigned LED headlamps, bumpers, and grilles varying by trim level. Higher trims also come with LED projector headlamps and signature accent lighting. New 19-inch wheels add sophistication to the Lariat trim.
Inside, new trim colors and materials update the cabin, with unique accents for each trim. The XLT trim now features Grabber Blue accents, while the Lariat offers a Smoke Truffle theme with bronze accents. A new Black Package adds a distinctive grille, black roof, black Ford badges, and 19-inch gloss black wheels for a sleek, modern appearance.
Starting at $26,295 (plus $1,595 destination and delivery fee) for the standard hybrid front-wheel-drive model, the 2025 Maverick lineup is available for order, with deliveries beginning in late 2024.
