The next-generation 2025 GMC Terrain made its debut today, showcasing a bold new design that elevates the brand's premium gateway SUV.Initially launching in the Elevation trim, the 2025 Terrain offers more standard technology and features than ever before.

"With both the next-gen Terrain and the updated 2025 Yukon launching later this year, the entire GMC SUV lineup will be refreshed by year’s end, providing customers with the latest designs, advanced technology, and an unparalleled driving experience."Every Terrain now comes standard with over 15 safety and driver assistance features, along with the added comfort of heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. New for 2025, the standard suite of safety and driver assistance features includes:

- Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking

- Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking

- Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking

- Rear Cross Traffic Braking

- Reverse Automatic Braking

- Side Bicyclist Alert

- Blind Zone Steering Assist


**Technology Highlights**

The next-generation Terrain is equipped with a wealth of standard technology across all three trims, featuring a 15-inch diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment System and an 11-inch diagonal driver information center. The 15-inch screen can display up to three applications simultaneously, ensuring that key information is always within view.

The infotainment system offers a seamless and intuitive experience, allowing drivers to respond to texts, navigate using Google Maps, or control select vehicle functions via the touchscreen or the standard Google Assistant. Additional apps like Spotify can be integrated for personalized music and podcast streaming.








New for 2025 are up to eight available camera views, including an optional rear camera mirror—a first for the GMC Terrain.

Additional available technologies include:


- 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability

- HD Surround Vision camera

- Rainsense wipers

- Heated wiper park

- AutoSense power liftgate, which opens automatically when the key fob is nearby


**Bold, Truck-Inspired Design**The 2025 Terrain boasts a more athletic and planted stance, with a grille design inspired by GMC's truck lineup, connecting the new headlamps to the lower fog lights for a distinctive front-end appearance.

A first for the GMC Terrain, a two-tone roof option in black or gray adds a new level of customization and design flair.Inside, the new design emphasizes long, sweeping lines to highlight the cabin’s width, with chrome accents adorning the instrument panel insert, upper doors, and console armrest. Conveniently placed wireless chargers are available near the armrest.The Elevation trim—the entry point to the Terrain lineup—comes standard with 17-inch wheels.

**AT4 and Denali Trims**

In 2025, GMC will also introduce the 2026 model year AT4 and Denali trims.

The next-generation AT4, the most capable Terrain AT4 to date, includes:

- Selectable AT4-exclusive Terrain Mode

- Increased ride height

- Metal underbody protection shield

- Animated headlamps and taillamps

- Red front recovery hooks

- 17-inch All-Terrain tires

- AWD and Hill Descent Control

The Denali trim continues to set the standard for advanced technology, exceptional craftsmanship, and luxury. Standard features include:

- Heated outboard front and rear seats

- Animated headlamps and taillamps

- 19-inch wheels (with an available 20-inch option)

- Unique Smart Frequency Dampers for a smoother ride

- AWD and Hill Descent Control

**Performance That Excels**

Every Terrain comes equipped with a 1.5L Turbocharged engine, delivering 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. All-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission come standard on the Elevation trim at launch.
