The global unveiling of the 2025 Ram 1500 introduces a groundbreaking vehicle with the all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane engine family, marking a significant advancement in power, performance, and fuel efficiency across the Ram lineup.

Tim Kuniskis, Ram brand CEO at Stellantis, highlighted the enhancements: "The new 2025 Ram 1500 brings our customers more power, performance, and fuel efficiency with our all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane engines. With a range of gas engines and upcoming electric truck offerings, Ram is poised to meet the diverse needs of truck buyers worldwide, combining bold styling, innovation, durability, and capability."

The 2025 Ram 1500 presents customers with three engine choices, including the all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane and the 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output Straight-Six Turbo (SST) engines from the Stellantis Hurricane Twin-turbo family, renowned for being the most potent six cylinders in its class. Accompanying them is the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 eTorque. The new 3.0-liter Hurricane engine boasts 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, while the High Output variant delivers an impressive 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2025 Ram 1500 showcases exceptional towing capacity, with a maximum of 11,580 pounds, a payload capability of 2,300 pounds, and up to 24 inches of water fording.

Adding to the lineup is the ultra-premium Tungsten model, joining other variants like Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. In Q3 2024, a new Ram 1500 RHO is set to debut, featuring the 540-horsepower Hurricane H/O engine, reinforcing its position as a leading off-road and performance truck.

Ram is dedicated to providing benchmark gas and electric vehicles to cater to both work and family needs. In addition to the gas-powered Ram 1500, an all-electric 2025 Ram 1500 REV is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2024, followed by the all-new Ram 1500 Ramcharger with extended range capabilities.

The 2025 Ram 1500 is part of Ram's commitment to Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, aligning with the goal to lead the way in delivering innovative, clean, safe, and affordable mobility solutions. As part of this plan, Stellantis aims to reduce its carbon footprint by 50% by 2030, ultimately achieving net carbon zero by 2038.

Assembled in Sterling Heights, Mich., the 2025 Ram 1500 is expected to reach dealerships in the first quarter of 2024.

The state-of-the-art Hurricane engine family stands out for delivering robust power with enhanced performance, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions. The 3.0-liter Hurricane Standard Output and High Output engines, part of the Stellantis Hurricane Twin-turbo family, set new standards for fuel economy and emissions reduction, surpassing other naturally aspirated V-8 and boosted six-cylinder engines in the light-duty segment.

The Ram 1500's engine options include the new 3.0-liter Hurricane engines and the existing 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, all coupled with a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission for optimized fuel efficiency, performance, and drivability.

The Hurricane engine's foundation comprises a deep-skirt cast-aluminum block with a structural aluminum alloy oil pan, making it the strongest Ram engine to date. Its cross-bolted steel main bearing caps house a robust rotating assembly of a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods. The block undergoes deck-plate honing during manufacturing, optimizing cylinder bore shape for improved fuel efficiency.

Stellantis engineers utilized advanced technologies for reduced emissions and powerful performance, including low-inertia, high-flow turbochargers, plasma transfer wire arc coating in the cylinder bores, high-pressure direct fuel injection, and an engine-mounted water-to-air charge cooler.

Produced at Stellantis' Saltillo Engine Plant in Mexico, the 3.0-liter Hurricane engines contribute to the Ram 1500's outstanding performance.

The 2025 Ram 1500 introduces a high-torque rear axle for enhanced ride quality in trucks equipped with the 3.0-liter Hurricane H/O engine. Available in 2WD or 4WD, the rear axle features a traditional open or limited-slip differential that automatically distributes torque among the rear wheels for optimal traction. An electronic locking rear differential provides additional traction control on demand. The Ram 1500 offers axle ratio options of 3.21, 3.55, or 3.92, allowing customers to balance fuel economy and vehicle capability.

The truck's ride and handling benefit from a double wishbone front suspension and a five-link solid rear axle, further enhanced by the available, segment-exclusive, active-level, four-corner air suspension. The air suspension offers five different modes: entry/exit, aero, normal, off-road 1, and off-road 2.

The 2025 Ram 1500 undergoes a contemporary redesign, featuring a modern exterior design that maintains Ram's distinctive bold and heroic presence. The truck is instantly recognizable with a sleeker and more aerodynamic appearance. Standard on Limited and above trims are premium LED headlamps, including twin bi-functional projector headlamps. The forward-leaning grille has been enlarged to signify a more assertive presence, available in eight unique interpretations based on the model.

A continuous body-side character line ties the front fender, cab doors, and bed fenders for a cohesive horizontal profile. The sub-flush bed and cab reduce aerodynamic disruptions, and new taillamps with a jeweled appearance are present across the lineup. The 2025 Ram 1500 offers a power open/close tailgate with obstacle detection and a multi-function tailgate, adding utility to the cargo-management and storage features. The RamBox cargo management system, with lockable bed storage and a 115-volt outlet, remains available, along with other practical options like a pickup bed divider and cargo rail system.

The 2025 Ram 1500 is available in various colors, including Diamond Black, Bright White, Ivory White Tri-coat, Delmonico Red, Flame Red, Hydro Blue, River Rock, Baltic Grey, and Billet Silver.

The new ultra-premium Ram 1500 Tungsten model leads the light-duty lineup, providing a high-quality experience while preserving the Ram 1500's hardworking essence. The Tungsten model includes a power tailgate, premium LED taillight design, and a contemporary R-A-M badge.

Inside the Tungsten, the Indigo/Sea Salt interior boasts platinum patina/semi-bright dual-textured metal accents, suede-wrapped headliner, A- and B-pillars, and visors. The premium quilted Natura Plus leather driver and front passenger seats offer 24-way power adjustments, including memory settings and a massage function. Additional features include a Tungsten badge on the center console, brushed platinum patina aluminum litho bezels, a crystal-effect shifter center cap, and a Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system with 23 speakers.

The overall interior of the 2025 Ram 1500 exemplifies a combination of authentic, premium materials with a focus on comfort and durability. Carbon-fiber, metal, and leather elements contribute to the luxurious feel of the interior, providing a level of sophistication expected in a Ram truck.

Beyond the Tungsten model, other trims showcase enhanced colors and materials, such as the Bighorn/Lone Star with Gridiron paint, Laramie with Chevron film decorative trim accents and a new two-tone interior option, Rebel with a red/black ombre mesh insert material, Limited Longhorn with Barn Wood 45 open pore real wood veneer, and Limited with Black Ebony open pore real wood veneer decorative trim accents and a new black/ebony red interior color package.

The interior also incorporates advanced features like a push-button trailer steering knob, an accessory switch bank, and, with the 14.5-inch touchscreen, full-time dedicated buttons for added convenience.

The 2025 Ram 1500's interior sets a new standard in pickup truck interiors, featuring the latest Uconnect system with a 12-inch or new 14.5-inch touchscreen display and an intuitive user experience. The Uconnect 5 system offers enhanced connected services and features, providing unmatched ease of use.

Key highlights of the Uconnect 5 system include:

• Improved 12-inch touchscreen with higher resolution and a new 14.5-inch reconfigurable touchscreen display with split-screen capability for dual application operation.
• Segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen offering co-pilot functions, entertainment via HDMI, and the ability to view exterior vehicle cameras.
• Advanced Atlantis electrical architecture, delivering operating speeds five times faster than the previous generation, ensuring quick response to touchscreen input in as little as 0.05 seconds.
• Active Driving Assist, representing Level 2 (L2) automated driving capability, is available for hands-on-wheel and eyes-on-road automated driving using lane centering with adaptive cruise control. The system utilizes multiple sensors, including radars and cameras, to determine suitable roads for the technology.
• Hands-free Driving Assist, denoted as Level 2+ (L2+) automated driving capability, allows hands-off driving at all speeds and lane centering on approved roadways for added convenience. • On-board power inverter, available with the 3.0-liter Hurricane engine, providing up to 1.8 kilowatts with two covered outlets inside the bed. Users can activate the inverter via the touchscreen or a switch located near the outlets, ramping up engine rpm to support the on-board power inverter. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 eTorque engine allows inverter use while the truck is in motion.
• Fully digital rearview mirror with tow mode, offering an unobstructed rear view through real-time video from a rear-facing camera. The mirror reverts to a traditional reflective mode with the toggle of a switch.

The 2025 Ram 1500 features a class-exclusive 10.25-inch passenger screen, visible only to the front passenger, with dynamic touchscreen control. The screen serves three major functions: co-pilot (navigation, device management), entertainment (via HDMI), and viewing exterior vehicle cameras. The front passenger screen includes an HDMI plug for connecting a phone or tablet, turning the touchscreen into a mirrored extension of the device, enabling internet searches, music, and app usage to project through the Uconnect 5 system.

A configurable full-color Head-Up Display (HUD) measuring up to 10 inches showcases various content areas simultaneously, such as Lane Departure, Lane Keep Assist, adaptive cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, current speed, current gear, and speed limit. Drivers can personalize and save HUD settings within their profiles.

The 2025 Ram 1500's 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster presents nearly two dozen menus, featuring driver-assist technologies like adaptive cruise control, active driving assist, drowsy driver detection, and speed limit traffic signs display.

The truck boasts a class-exclusive dual wireless phone charging system, enhancing functionality for front passengers. The sculpted connectivity ports offer quick recognition.

Ram owners can opt for a digital key accessible via smartphone or watch for vehicle access and ignition. After enrolling in Ram Connect and downloading the Ram app, users can create and store digital keys in their smartphone's wallet. Digital keys can be shared with other compatible devices, with the owner retaining full control. An NFC-based smart card serves as a backup for unlocking and starting the vehicle when the smartphone is unavailable. Traditional key fobs remain standard, providing customers with flexible access options.

The ultra-premium Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system, standard in the new Ram 1500 Tungsten model, delivers exceptional sound quality with a best-in-class 1,228-watt output and stainless steel speaker covers. The system, the first automotive application of Klipsch, features 23 specifically tuned speakers, including a high-performing 12-inch subwoofer and two one-inch titanium dome tweeters.

Safety and security are paramount in the 2025 Ram 1500, offering more than 100 available active and passive safety features. Standard features include the ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation, and six airbags. Available features encompass Blind-spot Monitoring, adaptive cruise control, Ready Alert Braking, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, and the Active Drive Assist system.
