Three drive concepts – diesel, petrol, and plug-in hybrid – cater to diverse preferences. The mild hybrid system, with intelligent boost technology, enhances the diesel and petrol variants. The plug-in hybrid model provides an electric range of up to 100 km (WLTP). The E-Class All-Terrain focuses on advanced technology, featuring the MBUX Entertainment Plus package, a digital vehicle key for iPhone and Apple Watch, and MBUX Routines for personalized automation. Safety is a priority with standard driver assistance systems like DISTRONIC and Active Brake Assist, with additional options in the Driving Assistance Plus Package. The vehicle's safety concept combines a rigid passenger cell, specific deformation patterns, and a variety of restraint systems.
Environmental consciousness is evident in resource-conserving materials, including recycled and renewable components. The Sindelfingen plant aims for net carbon-neutral production, utilizing renewable energy sources and investing in sustainable practices.
The E-Class Estate, with over 16 million units produced since 1946, has been a symbol of success. The All-Terrain variant, introduced in 2017, continues this legacy, combining luxury with off-road capability.
