Volkswagen of America, Inc. introduced the 2024 Atlas Peak Edition trim line at the 2023 New York International Auto Show. Inspired by the Basecamp concept shown in 2019, the exterior bodywork provides a more rugged look, while blackout detailing and an interior palette round off the model even further.Elevate the 2024 model year Atlas family with a sturdy front apron and silver underbody paneling. Running along the lower fascia is a gloss black "X" design element borrowed from the Atlas Cross Sport.Two chrome stripes appear on either side of the illuminated logo on the darkened grille. A large gloss black badge runs down the sides of the vehicle and adorns the front of the orange and chrome Peak Edition logo panel. Black 18-inch cast wheels shod with 255/60 off-road tires give the Atlas versatility, while black and silver side skirts enhance the look. Black mirror housings, window surrounds, wheel arches and roof rails complete the look of the darkened profile.
At the rear, the black tailgate molding is connected to a robust black and silver diffuser with chrome-plated tailpipes.The new exterior colors for the Atlas family, exclusive to Peak Edition models, are Avocado Green and Pure Grey. Inside, the Peak Edition models have a distinctive look inspired by the colors of the logo. Titanium black synthetic leather is combined with light gray details and orange contrast stitching. Dashboard and door inserts with black metal mesh further differentiate this look from other models in the Atlas family. The steering wheel clip carries the same logo as the exterior badge and mood lighting with a choice of 30 color pairs, as well as innovative dashboard lighting with "Peak Edition" lettering."
